I have a degree and want to teach

Question: I have teaching degree in English, or History, or Math, or Science and I want to teach high school or middle school, can I do this?

Well what steps do I take?


1. Contact your state deparement of education and see the requirements.
2. You may need to 'prove' that you have done something, a portfolio.
3. You may need to have job to even start.
4. You may need to be accepted into a program for 2nd career teachers.
5. You may need to take formal education classes.

Good news, you can do this it may just take some time to be a full teacher, on par of 3-5 years. The good news is that you can earn money teaching while starting this method.
