Amazement

What amazes me, working in the facility that I do, is the amount of problems that occur. I feel bad for many of these students.

Sometimes the direct care staff need children insurance to protect themselves. We are always haveing one problem or another.

Then a resident will do something that just makes you amazed.

law and order changes

I know that sometimes there is a need for a tv lift and the shows that are in it. Law and Order: Criminal Intent has had a new revamp of the show.

The intro is the most visable using lots of lights and fast action with some color and flashing. The idea of speed and movement is given heavily in the theme.

Then on the inside of the show is new camera shots and camera angles. Lots of movement and more spooky movement.

Choice

I know people will be looking all year long for teaching jobs. I just took a gander through and was looking at things. When I choose a place to live I want to find somewhere that has lots of differing things. As an example, I want to know about the art gallarys as well as Phoenix real estate of the state and the city.

Well I hope you have a happy day.

Front and Center

When you are getting your feet wet in teaching you have ot learn your own style. I have enjoyed teaching from some bar stools to teach from.

I also like to walk and roam. One of the best tricks I have found is that when students are doing seat work it is best to be moving. When I move around the room, students ask more questions rather then just struggle with an item.

Have a most happy day.

At the Game

I have to confess that teaching will never get us some Super Bowl tickets that we can actually buy ourselves. There is always the outside chance of getting some for free.

We teach because we have to. We have to teach because it is within us. I teach because I love to teach and cannot see myself doing anything else. I love to teach.

Have a happy day.

More on Educations

One of the hard things that I have found in teaching is how variable the students are in their abilities and their likes and dislikes.

I may have a one student that is a top notch A+ student and next to her is a girl who is drug rehabilitation or at least should be there. The vairables makes it quite difficult to reach all students.

During my student teaching time, the school I was at had students divided up by level. This actually made teaching easier. The high class was the largest and the other students benefited from more individual instructions. Personally, I am in favor of breaking up by ability.

Football

It is odd how many games students watch. I am sure some would love some Patriots tickets.

The games are always the talk of the day. Personally, I cannot wait till Feb. comes around on the calendar and football is over. Of course, I may want to watch a game and see what is going on.

Have a happy day.

AGS software.

Since a large pile of very expensive jewelry or a lottery ticket, I have to still work. This means I am still stuck with the crap software.

I am so unthrilled with the AGS globe software. The more I use it the more 'bad' it becomes. The TRL software is about unusable. My most recent problem is that I could not print items. This required a total system restart.

I really hate this software.

Software for Teachers

Recently, I received the AGS World History books and software. Now I reliaze that I did not receive some invitations for this product, however it as recommended.

I will say this. The books are good for low level readers.

The problem is . . . the software. This software that is the TRL (2008 version) is the single worst software I have ever used.

1. It is a flash program.
2. It is using an old version of flash.
3. on a Macintosh it is not universal binary.
4. The pages for printing are not clear and sharp. The printout look a little bit better then a 200DPI dot matrix printer.

Overall this program really stinks. I would not recommend

Shifting Gears

It is that time of the year when teachers put away the outdoor lighting and move indoors for the winter.

The worst part is this means no more classes outside for the winter. I like talking students outside once every couple of weeks. And with the weather getting colder. That means no more of that.

Have a happy day.

Over There

After moving I started looking at real estate to move into.

Of course right now is a good time to buy with the prices dropping and interest rates going down.

You have to look into some things about cheap loans. There are many items that allow teachers to purchase homes at a discount.

Have a happy day.
