Stress

Teaching is always stressful and the sleep number bed really helps. The amount of the stress that is involved in teaching at an alternative is even more so. There are a so many preps as in many ways there are as many preps as there are students.

Running HArd

Teaching at an alternative school can sometimes feel like a total treadmill. What is the way to deal with the treadmill?



Have distractions and look around and see the good. Place the eye on the future and see what is going on. We need to change and mix up how we teach and how we move.

IN and OUT

I went to a school recently to look around. They had a a POS that was hacked into the state drivers license system. They scanned my card as I went in and out. I have to confess it was a really sweet system. I mean for real, it was just nice. However, it was of course spooky.

Well they have a much differing setup then we do at my school.

Moving Moving Moving

I have been wanting to get more Solo Slim and lose some weight. This means that working at an alternative school I have to be moving all the time.

I mean I have to move and move and move. Always moving around from one student to the next. I almost never get time to sit.

Humor

I love comics as sometimes they are so funny and even teachable. As an example we can talk about weight loss pill through a humor medium.

Since I am in social studies, one of the things that we look at, at times, is how the gods have affected history. When I say gods, I mean Rome and Greece gods. As they are still with us today.

As a prime example: mother goose and grimm looked at the after hours of the greek gods. Well in any case enjoy.

Going Off

Well the light bulbs have come on for me and I finally made a choice.

I am going to try to enter a doctoral program. I would love to earn a doctorate degree. Esp. when I love the Socratic method and orignal documents so much this only makes sense to me.

Well I guess I need to change the title of the blog from Learning to Teach to something else. I know that we do not stop learning how to teach. We are always learning and I want to know more.
