Oregon And Teachers

I guess teachers from Oregon are not going to be leaving anytime soon for their Outer Banks rentals. The governor has suggested that teachers need to go five to ten days without pay so that schools can stay open.

I have a mild suggestion for the governor. When not make all state workers take ten days off. That is of course except police, fire, and prison guards. Make all the others take 10 days off and see how that goes.

Finding Something odd

Hooray for Shirley of Hollywood! We just had a guy who got married here at work. Some people got together and bought him some funny lingerie for him to wear. As it turns out his wife thought it was funny. hehehehe. I have to say that he deserved it.

I always just like giving a card and something nice.

Planting

We have a vast amount of fence at work. Someone had suggested to make it look nicer and not have less fence. I said, how about some pvc fence installation. Well this was turned down quickly. In any case I wanted some open top so we could put in plants.

Of course I did not want to try to grow the plants as of my black thumb. I am lucky that I have not killed my bamboo plant.

This Summer

I am planning on making a long trip this summer to do a class. I am staying a week there and since I did not win a contest for free hotel, I am most likely going to stay at a good hotel of lower quality, that will be cheaper, I hope.

So I should be on my way to Washington DC this summer for a great class. I will let you know how it went.

Freebies

One of the bummer things about teaching, is the lack of promotional products that are not given out. When I was in computers one of the cool things that I received was all fun things that I got from various companies.

So if some of the companies out there want to send some fun stuff my way, please let me know. I miss all the fun things that I had.

Talking At Work

I was talking with some of the local people in HR and such and they all seem to be saying, you need term life insurance. Of course I look at this and ask should I wait? I am not to sure. I would like to be able to know what to do. So if you have any ideas of what to do, please let me know.

I do have to make a choice soon and I am being hounded.
